Parking, buses and the late ride home

Playtime Casino Kelowna and Chances Casino Kelowna both have free parking and a bus stop close by. This page covers the way in and the way back after a late night.

Down by the lake

Playtime sits at 1300 Water Street, downtown on Okanagan Lake. Parking is free for casino guests in the GREEN zone of the covered parkade. Two entrances are open daily: Water Street, and the Causeway entrance just off the parkade.

Without a car, the stop Water St at Cawston Ave is about 25 m from Playtime and is served by route 2 North End Shuttle. Route 5 Gordon / Downtown stops on Ellis St at Clement Ave, about 260 m away. Timetables are on BC Transit, not here. The casino is in the Grand Okanagan Lakefront Resort and Conference Centre. For a night without a ride home, its Hotel menu item links to the Delta Hotels Grand Okanagan Resort.

A lot with chargers

At 1585 Springfield Road, Chances keeps its parking free and on site, in the lot in front of the main entrance. The lot has EV charging. Two stops sit about 150 m away: Springfield Rd at Dayton St and Springfield Rd at Burtch Rd. Routes 8 University / College and 11 Rutland / Downtown serve both. Bus timetables are not in this guide; BC Transit publishes them, and the trip back is easier to plan once the times are checked there.

From one room to the other

The two casinos are 3 km apart in a straight line between map coordinates. Roads are longer than that, so a drive or ride from Water Street to Springfield Road covers more ground than the figure suggests. A map link beside this text shows the road route between them.

ID on the way in

Guests must be 19 or older, the legal age for gambling in British Columbia. Every person entering a B.C. casino shows government-issued photo ID. Security scans it and checks it against the list of people restricted from entering, such as those enrolled in Game Break. For people who are let in, the system does not save personal information.

At Playtime, valid photo ID may be requested at any time, and people enrolled in Game Break are refused entry. The facility is accessible to customers with disabilities. Wheelchairs, accessible formats and communication supports are available on request.
